In support of Senior Isolation Programs with Beacon Community Services
North Saanich Rod & Gun Club has been dedicated to supporting Beacon Community Services since 2020, raising over $22,000 in the last four years.
Beacon Community Services provides a comprehensive range of services to a diverse population of people in need.
We are proud to support their Senior Isolation Programs including Social Meals, Soup Social, and Meal Delivery.
Social Meals are a free communal meal in the SHOAL Centre dining room offered three times a week, providing seniors a unique opportunity to make new friendships and strengthen connections within our community.
Soup Social is held monthly in the SHOAL Centre dining room and offers seniors a chance to come and enjoy hearty soups and stews, and engage with activities. Speakers offer information and education on a variety of topics important to their health and wellness.
Meal Delivery offers social connection and a meal for those that are not able to attend programs at the SHOAL Centre. It also provides the opportunity for volunteers to check in on our most isolated and vulnerable seniors - and has even saved lives!
Your donation provides more than just a meal—it brings nourishment, connection, and care to seniors facing isolation in our community.
Join us in Lighting the Way to a healthier, brighter future for seniors in our community.
